Mathematicians' personal web pages are expected to have a picture of them on a mountain somewhere.[1] This mountain is in Crete.

Maths

I am a first year PhD student at the University of Nottingham under Fenglong You and Johannes Hofscheier. My research interests are mirror symmetry and enumerative geometry. I am also currently a PGR (postgraduate research) representative for the School of Mathematical Sciences.

My years as an undergrad were spent at the University of Bath. I did my MMath project under the supervision of Gregory Sankaran on the topic of toric varieties, with a particular focus on Batyrev's work on classification using primitive collections and primitive relations.

Not Maths

When I'm not doing maths you'll likely find me playing the drums or guitar (loudly). I've been in a couple of bands over the past eight years, and some of the music I helped write is available online.

I am also interested in languages, linguistics, and etymology. I speak good French - I learnt in school and subsequently spent a year in Bordeaux during my degree - and am currently learning German.
